How about this kid, Milo Raonic? Anyone who saw the finals this weekend in Memphis knows this player has a future. He punished Roddick with this blistering 150 mph serve, and when the chips were down, he can hustle too. So much so that in the second set he saved 3 set points to take it. Even though Roddick ultimately outlasted Raonic for the title, the newcomer did not look uncomfortable at all playing the American star.

Andy Roddick said it best when he said Milo was “the future of tennis”, alluding to his own comments when he won the US Open. Andy, still a class act… and a comedian too.

Raonic is a breath of fresh air in the tennis world for sure. His chances at Wimbledon are decent but will he crack under the pressure. Its good to see new young Canadian players for sure Scott.

Again, with Federer seeming fallible, are we looking at the changing of the guard? It used to be that stars hold court for decades it seems. I think the pace of the game now a days means that players at the top are always looking at their backs. my 2 cents.
